Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk is confident teammate Mohamed Salah would be fit to play against Manchester United after the international break, MySportDab reports.

Salah had to be substituted late on in Liverpool’s 2-1 Premier League win over Leicester City at Anfield on Saturday.

The Egyptian was taken down by Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury and hobbled off with an ankle problem in stoppage time.

But Van Dijk is not concerned for Salah and reckons he will be fit for the visit to Old Trafford on October 20.

“I think he should be not too bad,” Van Dijk told Sky Sports.

“The good thing he has plenty of time to recover.

“He’ll probably get a time to recover as well.

“So I’m not concerned that he’s not going to be ready for United away.”
